Abstract | On November 24, 2005 the Supreme Court of Canada handed down its decision in Mikisew Cree First Nation v. Canada (Minister of Canadian Heritage). I think that Mikisew Cree is the most important decision on the numbered treaties of the prairie provinces and northern Canada (including northern Ontario) since the Privcy Council's 1888 decision in St. Catherine's Milling. |
