The primary objectives of the Repository of the Athabasca River Basin are to facilitate the access to a wide array of research materials available regarding the Athabasca River Basin; its history, lands, waters and its people for researchers, stakeholders and the general public. It also serves to promote the open exchange of information regarding the Athabasca River Basin by sharing information provided by outside researchers and organizations.
Utilizing the capabilities and technology provided by Athabasca University’s Library and Archives, the Repository provides accessibility to research materials through a simple Google style or complex Boolean type search, providing access to end users no matter what their search skill level.
Materials listed in the Repository range from bibliography listings of papers and publications with information as to their accessibility, to direct access to documents, publications, images and audio-visual. Availability depends on the copyright holder and is out of the control of ARBRI.
We are continuing to add items to the Repository and working to gain permissions to provide access to these materials.
