Abstract | Particular and differing interests of researcher and community members were pulled together to produce research results that simultaneously met the needs of communities and fulfilled the expectations of research institutions. This article, written from the perspective of a field researcher charged with coordinating on-the-ground research in the Gitxaal Nation describes how interviews and qualitative card sort methods for examining traditional ecological knowledge were developed to meet treaty, academic, and educational roles. |
