| Abstract | This community profile constitutes one of the background studies being prepared to provide information to aid in the decision-making process relevant to the proposed new mines and their potential impacts on the community and the surrounding environment. This profile report provides a snapshot of the extended community of Fort McKay, reflecting community data current and available at the time of production. The objectives of this study are: to provide a portrait of the community and its current conditions; to identify broad demographic data; to document current economic factors, including the local business environment; to identify available services and service delivery; and to document the opinions and priorities of community members, with the focus upon future development and associated impacts. |
