Abstract | The Northern River Basins Study was initiated through the Canada-Alberta-Northwest Territories Agreement Respecting the Peace-Athabasca-Slave River Basin Study, signed in September 1991. The study was conducted to characterize the cumulative effects of pulp mill development on the water and aquatic environment of the study area by coordinating with existing programs and undertaking appropriate new technical studies. This report provides the results of a study to obtain mink carcasses from the 1991/92 trapping season for laboratory analysis and to provide detailed procedural recommendations for mink carcass collection in 1992/93. The report describes the methods of mink carcass collection and shipment, the use of RMFA holders for trapping, and contract trapping. |
