Ambient air quality objectives are established as part of the Alberta air quality management system. The purpose of this document is to summarize selected primary literature on the effects of sulphur dioxide exposure on vegetation. This document is not intended to be a comprehensive review of the published literature. Instead an attempt was made to select work that would provide relevant information for reviewing the existing ambient air quality objective for sulphur dioxide for Alberta.
