The Alberta Oil Sands Technology and Research Authority (AOSTRA) is an Alberta Crown corporation that funds and coordinates technology development and dissemination in the fields of oil sands, heavy oil, and enhanced recovery technologies. This book describes the history and mandate of AOSTRA, its principles of operation, and its guidelines for research and development.
