Alberta is divided into eight economic regions as follows: Lethbridge â€“ Medicine -Hat; Camrose-Drumheller; Calgary; Banff â€“ Jasper â€“ Rocky Mountain House; Red Deer; Edmonton; Athabasca â€“ Grande Prairie â€“ Peace River; and Wood Buffalo â€“ Cold Lake. The economic regions of Calgary and Edmonton account for the largest proportion (69.0%) of Albertaâ€™s population.
