Carbohydrate-based copolymers containing cyclodextrins (CDs) are of interest, in part, because of their ability to form stable inclusion complexes in aqueous solution. The inclusion properties of β-CD copolymers are determined by the surface area, pore structure, and site accessibility of inclusion sites within the copolymer framework.
