The study is part of the Alberta Oil Sands Environmental Research Program (AOSERP) sponsored jointly by Alberta Environment and Fisheries and Environment Canada. The Scientific Authority responsible for all matters concerning the scientific and technological content of the work was Mr. M. P. Olson, Atmospheric Environment Service (AES). The principal investigator on the project was Mr. P. J. Denison, Acres Consulting Services (ACS).
