The stories were transcribed phonetically and published with an interlinear translation from the narration of Francois Mandeville, a tri-lingual speaker of French, English and Chipewyan. The texts are largely mythological in nature, but several contain additional bits of ethnographic information pertinent to hunting and trapping, the preparation of hides, and warfare.</style>
<notes><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Academic journal</style></notes><custom2><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Fort Chipewyan, Alberta</style></custom2><custom3><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">http://www.worldcat.org/oclc/3559359</style></custom3><custom4><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">CEMA</style></custom4></record></records></xml>
